Expertise is nothing without care…
The LXM (Life Extension Medicine) Humanitarian Foundation combines a genuine understanding of the latest approaches to pain relief and life extension medicine and treatment protocols, with a profound desire to improve the life of every patient who seeks our help. Our approach to patient care is firmly grounded in science, but delivered with compassion and respect.
We focus on the individual as much as on the outcome, and involve families and loved ones at each stage of the treatment plan. We design and deliver treatment programmes that aim to not merely prolong a patient’s life, but to make the time that they have left a more positive, productive experience. In this way, the benefits extend beyond the patient themselves.
We wouldn't ask if we didn't have to—
Treatment programmes cost money. There’s no getting away from that fact. Dependent on the type of treatment required, costs can range into the tens, hundreds and millions of Rands. Ongoing care – the maintenance and monitoring phase – also involves spending on treatment regimens and travel expenses. All treatments have previously been funded by AMCMED, but this is no longer feasible given the demand that exists for this kind of care, and our unbreakable commitment to help everyone who asks.
If you can donate, your donation will be put towards patient care, and towards research and the development of medical techniques and equipment which may assist with the treatment of quality-of-life-threatening and debilitating diseases in the future.
